Our Story
When Katrina devastated Louisiana and
Mississippi, the Saratogian group
calling themselves The Giving Circle went into action; they adopted a
tiny gulf port town, called Waveland, MS...Waveland was wiped out and
little by little this group is helping to rebuild...Saratoga, NY has
since adopted Waveland, MS as one of their sister cities.
The
Giving Circle has put on several events to raise awareness and
donations for Waveland, MS ...and continue to do so.. I have
volunteered for them.. and will continue to do so... just on a smaller
scale... they are wonderful people doing a wonderful job...

When
I feel bad about what I don't have...or what I can't get, I think about
how these people are just trying to get their lives back to
normal...with a roof overhead and a warm bed to sleep in...and it
brings me back to reality of what is really important in MY life!
