Allaire Village, Inc. is a non-profit educational and historic
preservation organization working in a unique partnership with the
State of New Jersey. It is the goal of Allaire Village, Inc. to promote
historic preservation while educating the general public on life at the
Howell Works Company, an early 19th Century iron producing community,
and on the life of James Peter Allaire, a prominent 19th Century marine
engine manufacturer.

Built about 1750, Boxwood Hall became the residence of Elias Boudinot,
president of the Continental Congress that ratified the Peace Treaty
with Great Britain. George Washington visited his friend Boudinot in
1789 on his way to New York for his first inauguration.

Cape May Lighthouse is a major attraction for many visitors to the
area, the park’s constantly changing shoreline, dunes, freshwater
coastal marsh and ponds, forested islands and varied uplands make it a
well-known location for viewing the fall bird migration.

in 1832 as the Manse, or Pastor’s residence, for the first Presbyterian
Church at Caldwell. Cleveland’s father, the Reverend Richard Falley

The view from High Point Monument, at 1,803 feet above sea level, is a
spectacular panorama of rich farmland and forest, soft hills and lush
valleys in three states. The blue line of the Delaware River divides
the verdant ridges of New Jersey from those of Pennsylvania. High Point
offers superb trails for hikers and skiers and quiet spots for campers
and anglers.
